Designing an Optimal System of Combined Heat, Cold and Power for a Building

Authors

Abstract:

In this study, supply electrical, heating and cooling loads in the building by a separate production system and a cogeneration system, particle swarm optimization algorithm in five different scenarios were studied and analyzed (For example, Data and Information a high-rise building base 72, in the city of Kerman is used). The results show that, cold and heat power system of micro gas turbine with a capacity of 195kW as the primary driver, of absorption chiller and electric chiller respectively with a capacity of 281kW and 439kW to provide cooling load, boiler with a capacity of 187kW to compensate for the lack of heat load and from photovoltaic/thermal system with a capacity of 52.8kW to generation electric load and supply hot water used, optimal system is to supply the base building loads. In this optimized system, the annual electricity sales revenue of  2,814,420,000R, The annual cost of buying the power of 211,560,000R, The cost of buying fuel annual consumption of 475,560,000R, and annual production carbon dioxide emissions in the building are 230.42tons. The initial payback period of the project is estimated at 5.167 years.

Exergy Analysis of a Novel Combined System Consisting of a Gas Turbine, an Organic Rankine Cycle and an Absorption Chiller to Produce Power, Heat and Cold

The current work investigates the exergy analysis of a new system to generate power, heat, and refrigeration. In the proposed system, the heat loss of a gas turbine (GT) is first recovered by a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSD), then by an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) to generate warm water and additional power, respectively. In the ORC, reheating is used to increase the output power, the req...

A Parametric Study on Exergy and Exergoeconomic Analysis of a Diesel Engine based Combined Heat and Power System

This paper presents exergy and exergoeconomic analysis and parametric study of a Diesel engine based Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system that produces 277 kW of electricity and 282 kW of heat. For this purpose, the CHP system is first thermodynamically analyzed through energy and exergy. Then cost balances and auxiliary equations are applied to subsystems. The exergoeconomic analysis is based ...

An Efficient Optimal Fractional Emotional Intelligent Controller for an AVR System in Power Systems

In this paper, a high-performance optimal fractional emotional intelligent controller for an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) in power system using Cuckoo optimization algorithm (COA) is proposed. AVR is the main controller within the excitation system that preserves the terminal voltage of a synchronous generator at a specified level. The proposed control strategy is based on brain emotional ...
